Sagai Celebration
Anisha & Shaurya
Ring Ceremony
September 14, 2026 Β· Shree Ganga Cottages, Kullu
βA promise made under a canopy of lights β with a hundred hearts to witness it.β
On the evening of 14th September, Ms. Anisha Thakur and Mr. Shaurya Singh exchanged rings on the lawns of Shree Ganga Cottages, surrounded by more than a hundred of their family and friends. As dusk settled over the Kullu valley, the fairy-light canopy came alive, the apple orchards glowed, and two families came together for an evening we were truly honoured to host.

The Ring Ceremony
Sagai β where two families become one
The ring ceremony, or Sagai, is the first official celebration of a coupleβs journey together β the moment a promise between two hearts is shared with everyone who loves them, and sealed with the exchange of rings.
Anisha and Shaurya celebrated their ring ceremony on our lawns on the evening of 14th September 2026, with more than a hundred guests in attendance. The lawn was set up with a canopy of white drapes, crystal chandeliers and fairy lights over the dinner tables, a buffet area along the garden path, and lit trees around the grounds.
Why Couples Choose Us for Their Sagai
A ring ceremony in the mountains
A ring ceremony is often the first time two families celebrate together, and the setting shapes how that first memory feels. At Shree Ganga Cottages, the evening unfolds on open lawns framed by apple orchards and pine-covered slopes, away from the traffic and crowds of the main Manali road. Guests arrive to fresh mountain air, the sound of the stream below the property, and a lawn that is already beautiful before a single light is strung.
For a gathering of a hundred guests or more, like Anisha and Shaurya’s, the lawn comfortably holds the ceremony stage, a full dinner set-up under a lit canopy and a separate buffet area along the garden path, so nobody feels crowded. Families can stay overnight in our wooden cottages, the kitchen handles everything from welcome drinks to a late dessert table, and our team takes care of dΓ©cor, lighting, music and seating so the hosts can simply be with their guests.
Planning your own ring ceremony?
How many guests can the lawns host?
Our lawns are well suited to intimate gatherings as well as celebrations of 100+ guests, with space for a ceremony stage, dining under a canopy and a separate buffet. Share your guest count and we will suggest the best layout.
Do you arrange dΓ©cor, lighting and catering?
Yes. Fairy-light canopies, drapes, floral stages, multi-cuisine menus with live counters, music and seating can all be arranged in-house, or we can work alongside your own decorator and photographer.
Can our families stay at the property?
Yes. Guests can stay in our wooden cottages and rooms on site, so the celebration can continue with breakfast on the lawn the next morning.
What is the best season for an outdoor ring ceremony in Kullu?
March to June and September to November are ideal, with pleasant days and cool, clear evenings.
